Premiership – Leicester City vs Arsenal Betting Preview

Leicester City were exceptional last season as they won the championship and beat most teams comfortably and Nugent was key to that as he scored a host of goals. Many people would expect Leicester to go straight back down this season, but me I expect them to finished a few places above relegation and they might even finish around mid-table. The chairman said he is going to spend around £200 million on new players, however that is over a 3 to 5 year period.

They started off well as they managed to Scrape a 2-2 draw at home to Everton, however they then lost 2-0 to a very impressive Chelsea. Capital One cup game mid-week Leicester played host to Shrewsbury Town and went crashing out in round 2, however Shrewsbury have not lost in their last 6 League games.

Arsenal had a solid campaign last year and were leading at the top of the table for at least 2 months, however they slipped down but managed to secure Champions League football. Wenger has brought in the talented Sanchez from Barcelona, although he has not yet shown his full potential in a gunners shirt. Callum Chambers was signed from Southampton and has a lot of potential, however he had a pretty poor game in their 2-2 draw with Everton last week.

Unfortunately for Arsenal Giroud seem to have broken his ankle in the game and will face 2-3 months out of action and Arsene Wenger has said this week its unlikely they will bring in another striker.

Leicester City have been a little inconsistent in their previous five games as they have managed to win in a friendly match against Rotherham and then against Werder Breme, they then got a 2-2 draw with Everton in their league opener. After that they managed to lose to Chelsea 2-0 and lose in the Capital One Cup at the hands of Shrewsbury Town.

Arsenal have done quite well in their previous five games having won 3 times and drawing twice, which means they remain unbeaten, however they have not won a game away from home.

Leicester City Team News:

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson will be delighted as he has a near full squad at his disposal for the visit of Arsenal on Sunday, however they do have one injury and it’s Defender Bakayogo who is currently sidelined and will not be back for quite a while yet.

Arsenal Team News:

Arsene Wenger has new goalkeeper Ospina and Gibbs both out for this game as are midfielders Arteta, Diaby and Gnabry. Forwards Walcott, Miyaichi and number 1 choice Oliver Giroud who was injured last week at Goodison Park.

Leicester City vs Arsenal Average Goals Per Game Statistics

92 games have been played between the two clubs over years, with there being a total of  309 goals scored which generates us with an average goal per game statistic of 3.35 which is quite high so we might be in for an entertaining game.

From the 46 matches that Leicester have had home advantage we see that there has been a total of 144 goals scored which gives us an average goals per game statistic of 3.13.

Both of these statistics seem to suggest that this game should see a minimum of three goals scored with the Possibility of four being scored, so betting markets such as total goals, over 2.5 goals/3.5 and both teams to score all look worth considering here.

Leicester City vs Arsenal Current Betting Odds Market

Leicester City are currently the underdogs going into this game and given most of the statistics it’s no surprise, however Arsenal haven’t won a game away from home in their last five attempts so that might be worth considering. The best price is 15/4 with Bet365 (£200 Matched Bonus Free Bets for New Customers).

The Draw is a real possibility here in my opinion and we see in the last five games played this has been the occasion twice, however these were some years ago now. The bookmakers have the draw at a current best price of 11/4 with BetFred (Double your Odds + £25 Free bets for New Customers).

Arsenal do have a good record against Leicester over the years, both at home and away so it’s no real surprise as to why they are the clear favourites in this game. The best price for the win is 17/20 with BetVictor (£25 Free Bets for New Customers).

Leicester City vs Arsenal Free Sports Bets, Tips & Predictions

Leicester have lost one and drew one so far in the League but against Chelsea and Everton so they haven’t done as bad as it looks on paper, however that loss in the Capital One cup would have been a shock but Pearson is surely concentrating on the League as survival is a must. It’s good to see leicester having a go at the like of Chelsea and Everton and not sitting back and credit for that must go to the manager.

Arsenal Haven’t won a game in their previous five attempts of trying, however I fell this game is where that will end as I am expecting Arsenal to come through this game, however I don’t think it will be easy as Leicester are playing some nice football.

I would expect the two new signing for each club Ulloa and Sanchez for Leicester and Arsenal to be playing as the main strikers so expect either one of them two to score the first goal of the match.

My Banker for this game is going to be Sanchez as an anytime goalscorer.

My saver is going to be correct score of 1-1.

An exciting game and one that will have a large television audience, so ensure you don’t miss out on having some free bets on the match by takery wing a look at our top free bets recommendations and in play promotions listed below.
